There’s a lot I could say but I’m too tired and need to process things. I held a ‘pimp our book cart’ competition in early to mid December and staff had fun with it. The district staff put a pimped out trolley in my office with old books wrapped as gifts for the 12 days of Christmas. Each book had a cut out with photos of me and a small chocolate. On the 12th day the book window had gold chocolate coins and a request for big pay rises 😉 It was great fun and I really appreciated the effort.

As I said in an email to all my staff today: This has been a big year with all kinds of incredible achievements and a lot of hard work. We do great stuff for our communities and we make a difference; never forget that.
I am proud of what we accomplish and proud of all of you. You’re an amazing team and I am fortunate to work with you.
Have a safe and happy festive season, however you choose to celebrate it. I’ll craft, paint, spend time with Tony and the pets, and chill. See you all in 2018.
